A new life.

Brother becomes father.  Changing roles, shifting tides.  Daughter, cousin, niece; a new life, a new rhythm.  Evermore we dance ’round this carousel, her at the center.  Following her cue, forever until we part.  Gaining momentum as we go.  Hello, darling.

It’s you.  Just as I imagined.  Kindred, one of the tribe.  Loved by all.

My niece.

Never forgotten, remembered forever.  Our collective dreams, realized in you.  Possibilities without end, our eyes upon the sea.  Quixotic you will become.  Resilient I hope you’ll always be.

So, here we are.  Together from afar.  Unspoken affection rides the ridges of the bald desert mountainside.  Vagabond love at last finding a home across a distance vast and wide.  With your presence, I’m transformed.  Exposed and repositioned.  Your youth, my rebirth.  Zenith of a waxing moon.

Shit.

Good ol’ William Jason Maxwell Borthwick

My friend Sean with the help of a couple of his friends hashed out this great idea to create a collaborative blog called Desktop Objective.  The DO has one simple goal: to create a web of creatively engaged individuals.  And as such, they’re posting weekly challenges for anyone interested in participating.  This week’s consists of using Wikipedia’s “random article” generator to generate two random articles, the contents of which you are required to incorporate into a piece of writing, an illustration, etc.  To my understanding you can use any medium you prefer.

My two random articles are:

1999–2000 in Belgian football & William Jason Maxwell Borthwick

My medium of choice:

Photography

(By the way, who the hell is William Jason Maxwell Borthwick?)

William Jason Maxwell Borthwick (1 November 1910 – 15 January 1998) was the son of Hon. William Borthwick and Ruth Margery Rigby. He married Elizabeth Cleveland Elworthy, daughter of Herbert Elworthy, on 26 July 1937. He died at the age of 87.

William Jason Maxwell Borthwick usually went by his middle name of Jason.

Um, right.  This is, indeed, going to be a challenge…
